10 Top Reasons to go to the Rose Parade

1) We have been doing this for over 50 Years!
Cartan Tours has been in business since 1899 and we have offered the Rose Parade Tour for over 50 years. We listen to the comments from our guests to make our tour better each and every year! Although we are sold out for the 2015 parade, we are selling the 2015/16 tours, hurry we do sell out fast!

2) Best seats!
Located at 450 W. Colorado, marks the start of the parade! Year after year we always get comments from our guests about how great the seats are. Our seats are located at the beginning of the route. All the TV cameras are there and if any special effects take place, they will happen right in front of us! The sun is at our backs so it feels good and it provides for phenomenal pictures!

3) Wonderful tour managers!
Some of our tour managers have been with us for 10 years, most of them come back every year because it is such a wonderful program Cartan Tours offers. They know everything inside out.

4) Excellent parking at the parade, close to seats!
Our buses park 2 blocks from where our seats are. A great location and as close as we can be!

5) Northern California extension 4 nights up the coast
This tour includes Hearst Castle, Big Sur, Wineries, and San Francisco
A fairly new addition to our extensions is the Northern California tour. A train ride up the coast to San Luis Obispo starts the trip off. 2 nights here with touring to Hearst Castle as well as some wineries and olive groves. Then it’s up the coast along Big Sur to San Francisco for 2 nights. We take you to Lombard street, Chinatown (Lunch included), a ride on a cable car and a visit to the cable car museum, and of course the Golden Gate Bridge.

6) San Diego extension 4 nights in paradise
I don’t know about you, but I live in Chicago, and I am in no hurry to return to the cold and snow. San Diego is lovely and there is so much to do and see there. We can reserve extra nights to our 4 night tour if you would like.

7) Option to see all the floats after the parade at Victory Park
Some people just can’t get enough of seeing these marvelous floats. At Victory Park, all the floats are on display and you can get pretty close to take all the pictures you want. This is a self-guided walking tour.

8) Option to attend the Rose Bowl Football
Not everyone is a college football fan, but the Rose Bowl ranks as one of the greatest of games. Kick off the New Year (No pun intended) with all the excitement of two fantastic teams! This year the Rose Bowl will be part of the newly designed playoff format.

9) Visit float barns on the 30th while being built, not on the 31st when they are finished
Some tour companies visit the float barns on the 31st. That’s fine, but the thrill of seeing the making of these beautiful floats is lost. On our tour, we take the guests to see the floats as they are being built. This is a spectacular and awe inspiring event that our guests rave about year after year.

10) 4 night stay at quality hotels
Stay at either the Ayres hotel in Hawthorne or the DoubleTree in Torrance. The Ayres is a beautiful boutique hotel that has the feel of staying in a castle with antique museum art displayed everywhere. The DoubleTree in Torrance is a modern hotel with restaurants within walking distance of the hotel.
